In Brussels, self-criticism is non-existent; there will not be any analysis of what happened. This blind Europeism has long since defined the dividing line between good and bad Europeans, and that line is the Constitutional Treaty – sorry, the Lisbon Treaty. Time and time again, they have dragged us during nine very long years in the same direction that Europe walks – nowhere. Download PDF

Zapatero is doing through his policy of re-education and social pedagogics. He is establishing a set of beliefs that involves a scheme of a religious kind: The belief that euthanasia is a human right; the belief that man is guilty of a sort of original sin just for being male; the image of homosexuals as prophets, martyrs or liberation symbols; his determining what is evil on earth – call it Bush, neoliberalism or Israel.

During his last visit to our country, he took the art of being wrong and of ideological kowtowing to new, unsuspected, and unseemly heights for a Nobel Prize laureate. He attributed Zapatero an economic surplus that should actually be credited to José María Aznar. In fact, if there is something that characterizes Zapatero’s policy, it is his squandering that surplus. Naturally, if Stiglitz ignores that Zapatero’s surplus is inherited, he must surely ignore that our President has in his cabinet one of the architects of Spain’s impoverishment during the 1990s as his Minister of Economy and Finance. espDescargar PDF

The ayatollahs made out of the Lebanese Shi'ite community’s defense one of their main goals in foreign policy. They were daring when creating Hezbollah, a new political force equipped with both well-armed and well-trained militias. All these actors know of the favorable demographics and that the key is to wait patiently. If Hezbollah is able to block the government, if it is able to convince the rest of Lebanese society that peace depends on that they accept Hezbollah’s leadership and, from that starting point condition, they reach a new political agreement, the victory will be in its hands.

This shameless realism must be interpreted when it is about the Western Sahara conflict, due to the solution that Morocco is trying to impose since the Spanish colony’s invasion in 1975 in order to avoid the self-determination referendum, according to which, by right, the Sahrawi people should be able to vote between independence or the definitive annexation to its Northern neighbor. It is necessary to repair the consensus on an anti-terrorism policy the previous Government destroyed with its unilateral policy of negotiating with terrorists. The pact must have the objective of destroying ETA because this end result is only possible with the achievement of a consensus. Download PDF espDescargar PDF

The behavior of the Chinese Government in Tibet has reasonably produced a scandal in Europe. Can we participate in Olympic Games, which among other things, will honor and glorify China, and recognize it as one of the great global powers to characterize the 21st century? Zapatero is not only failing to gain new support, but is struggling to keep the support he has had in the past. It it is likely that he will soon have even greater difficulties maintaining cohesion among his own group in this current legislature. Download PDF

What NATO needs to do is face its own internal problems of relatively careless Americans and extremely impotent European military power. These strengths and weaknesses produce two very distinct images for the world to see. If the great powers of NATO do not deal with this paradox, it will soon become a meaningless alliance, with or without Bucharest and the coming summit. Download PDF espDescargar PDF
